Hope 4 Hanna 5k/10k against Autism Kicks off Sunday

The races aim to raise money to fight the disease, diagnosed in 1 in 91 children.

Plaza Pacifica shopping center in San Clemente Sunday is hosting the Trace3 5k-10k-1/2k to benefit Hope 4 Hanna to help find the causes, effective treatments and a cure for autism.

The third annual autism race event will start at 7 a.m, with a kids' 1/2k race at 9:15 a.m. and a resource fair through 11 a.m. Pre-race check-in is 4-7 p.m. Saturday.

New this year is the Talk About Curing Autism Superhero Challenge. Save the day for those affected by autism; sign up to blast through the Superhero Challenge course with marvelous surprises. Kids and adults who participate are encouraged to wear superhero costumes.
