1. Never forget: To commemorate the 12th anniversary of 9/11 , OneOC, formerly Volunteer Center Orange County, has arranged for volunteers to refurbish and refresh garden areas for fall planting with students  at Las Palmas Elementary. They will be on site from 9-11 this morning.

2. Never forget, Part II: Here are some nearby ceremonies: Firefighters and city leaders will gather at Orange County Fire Authority's Station 7 in San Juan Capistrano at 8:30 a.m. today. Mission San Juan Capistrano will have a special bell-ringing ceremony at 10 this morning.

3. Never forget, Part III: In a related patriotic event, Iva Lee’s is shutting town to the public Sunday to host an American Heroes Fundraiser, put together by American Heroes Tribute.  A three-course wine dinner, entertainment, and a silent auction will take place with cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Christopher Starr.
