Cultivating Peace Within/Alternatives to Violence-Guatemala

The Community Resource Center of San Clemente will host a free community presentation on Cultivating Peace Within and Alternatives to Violence (AVP) on August 10th from 2:00-4:00pm led by Dr. Rosalia Munoz-Ledo Koba (Capistrano Unified School Counselor of the Year) who will share her photos, videos and talk about her multicultural experiences teaching conflict resolution strategies to children and families in Guatemala. Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) is geared to children, parents and families who want to reduce the level of unresolved conflict in their lives and the lives of those around them. Throughout the year, Dr. Koba teaches AVP family workshops in San Clemente and other cities which are fast-paced, weaving together interactive exercises, facilitated discussions, role plays, humor and games. The presentation is open to the public and will be held at the Community Resource Center of San Clemente (located in the lower level of the San Clemente Presbyterian Church) at 119 N. Avenida de la Estrella, San Clemente 92672. Food and refreshments will be available. For more information contact 949-294-4413.
