Local San Clemente Insurance Agent to be Honored for Outstanding Service

San Clemente resident Steve Edmondson has been selected by national non-profit Life Happens as a winner of its annual Real Life Stories Client Recognition Program, which recognizes licensed insurance professionals for their exemplary service and expert financial advice to clients in times of great financial need. Now in its 19th year, the program aims to raise awareness of the crucial importance of seeking professional insurance advice as part of a sound financial plan.

Edmondson is an agent at State Farm, and provided life-saving guidance to local clients, Ron and Kelli. The couple first reached out to Edmondson seeking assistance to find permanent life insurance coverage that would offer them both financial protection and a means to accumulate cash value. With Edmondson’s guidance, the couple was able to access funds from their life insurance policies to help with a down payment for their dream home. In later years when money became tight, Edmondson advised against the couple’s desire to cancel their life insurance, even increasing their coverage, which proved crucial when Kelli tragically died of heart failure. Thanks to Edmondson’s sound advice, Ron and their two sons are able to live a financially healthy life and keep the house they love.

Ron and Kelli are hardly the only Americans who could benefit from the advice of an insurance professional. Millions of Americans remain uneducated about the insurance options available, but professionals like Edmondson and programs like Real Life Stories can help. “People underestimate the importance of expert advice to ensure the financial protection of their families,” said Marvin H. Feldman, CLU, ChFC, RFC, President and CEO of Life Happens. “The insurance agents highlighted in this year’s Real Life Stories program and the stories of the lives they’ve impacted serve as a reminder of how important it is to seek professional guidance.”
