Casino Anniversary Bash Hosts SC Big Shots, Volunteers

City leaders from government, business and volunteer organizations attended Casino San Clemente's Diamond Jubilee 75th anniversary celebration Tuesday.

From a flashy 30s gambling den to a teen hangout, to a dinner theater, to an office space and back to an event venue, the in North Beach has seen a lot over its 75 years.

That's why its current owners Linda and Shaheen Sadeghi, who have renovated it over the last four years, invited San Clemente big shots in governement, business and service organizations to a Diamond Jubilee for the structure.

The dinner party was a thank-you, they said, to all their supporters in the Casino project including city staffers and council members, who signed off on renovation plans, the Historical Society, which helped save the Casino from demolition in the first place, and the service organizations that have partnered with the venue to raise money for charity.
