A hazardous weather outlook has been released by the National Weather Service in San Diego warning of strong ocean currents from San Mateo Point to the Mexico border.
The warning extends 30 nautical miles from shore through Dec. 26. Anyone in the ocean should use extreme caution as strong rip currents will be possible, especially during the transition from high tide to low tide.
Colder low-lying and wind-sheltered locations across the inland valleys may see patchy frost.
Beyond Dec. 27, patchy fog will be possible along the coast and in the colder inland valleys.
