Food Truck Guide for Wednesday, Oct. 9 at San Clemente High

You can sample everything from organic Mexican street food to sandwiches wrapped in waffles.

Food trucks are coming from 5:30-8:30 p.m. to San Clemente High School (700 Avenida Pico)  Wednesday evening. Here are the trucks this week:

  • Bacon Mania: Food like chili mac (with bacon), flash-fried spinach (with bacon) and something called The Rico, a half-lb. all-beef hot dog covered in caramelized onions, grilled jalapenos and spicy chipayo sauce (and bacon).
  • Flavor Rush Truck: Chef Ted Rodriguez was trained in the French culinary style, and this Orange County-based food truck changes its menu weekly. Check out what's on the menu this week here. Frequent favorites include pulled pork sliders, grilled tilapia tacos and chili fries.
  • Me So Hungry: This sliders/burgers/fries truck brings surprising flavors together, like the Meso Ramen burger (with a hard boiled egg and fried ramen in place of a
  • bun).
  • Tamarindo: Organic Mexican food. The concept is simple, Mexican street food: tortas, tacos, mariscos, quesadillas and aguas frescas (juices for you gringos).
  • Waff-n-Roll: Sandwich classics (and new classics) such as pulled pork, braised short rib and Tandoori chicken ... wrapped up in waffles.
