Get Out: Dance and Celebration

The best of the weekend in and around San Clemente.

It’s Thursday, and you’re itching for the weekend to begin. We’re here to give you a few ideas of what to do. This weekend in San Clemente, we have an Earth Day celebration, and an unusual band named Shimmeezu.

Why go: Where else could you hear U2 and Pink performed with an Irish/bluegrass/folk twist?
Pricing: $15 general admission, $7 for students and children, $12 for Casa Romantica members, free for President’s Circle members


Where/When: , 105 W. Avenida Pico, San Clemente; 7 to 9 p.m. Friday
Why go: San Clemente middle school students can enjoy themselves in a safe environment
Pricing: $5

Why go: Find out about all the species of butterfly that pass through our region

PANHE EARTH DAY CELEBRATION

Find out what's happening in San Clementewith free, real-time updates from Patch.

Where/When: From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the San Mateo Campground in San Onofre State Beach. Free parking and round trip shuttle from Concordia Elementary, 3120 Avenida del Presidente from 9:30 am until 3:30 pm.

Why go: Learn about the Native Americans who used to live in the area, see native crafts and dances, go on guided nature walks and other activities.

Earth Day San Clemente The San Clemente Watershed Task Force will present the 7th Annual Earth Day Celebration on Sat. April 16 from 10am to 2pm. Normally held at the Pier, this year the event will be staged on the Community Center lawn. There will be live entertainment, displays, presentations, giveaways and Blue Water Business Awards.
