Living in San Clemente means you have lower car insurance rates than the statewide average, a new study found.
An auto insurance study from ValuePenguin.com looked at auto insurance costs across 210 cities, 30 driver profiles and 52 companies to arrive at the average costs and city rankings.
The average rate per year for single drivers in San Clemente is $1,089 and for married drivers is $1,032. Statewide, it's $1,170 for singles and $1,074 for married couples.
Calexico took had the cheapest rates, and Glendale ranked as the most expensive.
