That's the message of the AP story about a 100-year-old San Clemente woman who was reunited in recent years with her 77-year-old daughter she gave up for adoption as a young girl.

Minka Disbrow grew up on a farm in South Dakota, and she and a friend were raped as teens. She bacame pregnant and gave birth to a daughter:

For most of her 100 years, Minka Disbrow tried to find out what became of the precious baby girl she gave up for adoption after being raped as a teen.

She hoped, but never imagined, she'd see her Betty Jane again.
