San Clemente, Dana Point Parks Need Volunteers

The nonprofit holds its Earth Day Restoration and Cleanup annually.

"The registration is low this year and we need to recruit more participants by April 8," said CSPF's Gretchen Krueger in an email. "Doheny needs 200 people, San Clemente needs 75 and 150 are needed at San Onofre."

State Parks have faced a series of budget shortfalls over the years. Community participation is critical again this year as there are continued funding pressures and a $1.4 billion backlog in deferred maintenance projects, Krueger said.
