It’s been a week of fun news in San Clemente.

The story with the, eh-hem, highest readership at San Clemente Patch was about the new name for the highest peak in San Clemente, now called the rather unfanciful San Clemente Summit.

Mayor Bob Baker passed the gavel to Tim Brown, with the story attracting 237 Facebook likes. You like him. You really, really like him.

Maybe it was the headline – we crack ourselves up – or maybe it was the photo of the toilet, but this sheriff’s blotter got more than the blotter’s usual fair share of hits.
