VIDEO: 11-Year-Old Autisic Boy Rocks the OC Tavern

A shining star of the charity Rock the Autism's music program, Sean Roth is officially now a rock star.

Sean Roth may be autistic, but he surely isn’t shy.   The 11-year-old performed at a fundraiser for the San Clemente charity Rock the Autism Friday night at the OC Tavern. The group pairs musicians with autistic children to give them another way to communicate – through music.

A resident of San Clemente, Roth “has always been pretty vocal. But he is now putting on fearless performances in front of large crowds.. Opening for bands like Common Sense,” said Rocky Neidhardt, cofounder of Rock the Autism. “He loves our program. It allows him to be free and he is treated like a total rock star by the other kids.”

Roth sings five or six songs per session and also helps some of the other kids with their performances, Neidhart said. Catch him in the video above singing Miley Cyrus' “Wrecking Ball.”
