SONIC OC: Watch Chris Toufanpour Tickle the Ivories
The Sonic OC music video feature showcases a local musician or musical group from any genre every Sunday.
Chris Toufanpour is not only the owner of the , he's also a classically trained pianist.
A child prodigy, he was already studying the piano at the University of Music in Vienna at the tender age of 12. That was 1960. He went on to study under the directors of the Vienna and Berlin philharmonic orchestras.
Though he doesn't practice six to eight hours per day as he did when he was a full-time performer, you can still catch him Thursday nights at the Blue Danube if you ask him to play.
