Horrific Car Accident at proposed Rooftop Restaurant Building

Driver Smashes Auto into Street-side Patio of 1509 N ECR Building Whose Owner is Seeking a Permit to Keep that Patio open till late hours

Two days ago a car smashed, with deadly force, INTO the patio of the proposed 1509 N. ECR nightclub building where the owner's plans calls for keeping a restaurant open ON THAT VERY PATIO until late night hours.

The owner is also seeking a permit to open a restaurant/bar with amplified music, the amplitude of a motorcycle, on the roof of the same building.

How many patrons would have died if the restaurant’s patio had ALREADY been open when this car smashed into it?

Nearby, only two months ago, a driver crashed her car into a 60-foot concrete streetlight pole on the sidewalk only 90 feet from the 1509 N. ECR building. The force of the contact, caused the pole to crash down onto three ECR traffic lanes, narrowly missing cars passing by.

This is NOT a good location for a restaurant/nightclub on a blind, downhill curve where drivers tend to speed and lose control of their cars, sober OR drunk.
