Horrific Car Accident at proposed Rooftop Restaurant Building

Driver Smashes Auto into Street-side Patio of 1509 N ECR Building Whose Owner is Seeking a Permit to Keep that Patio open till late hours

Two days ago a car smashed, with deadly force, INTO the patio of the proposed 1509 N. ECR nightclub building where the owner's plans calls for keeping a restaurant open ON THAT VERY PATIO until late night hours.

The owner is also seeking a permit to open a restaurant/bar with amplified music, the amplitude of a motorcycle, on the roof of the same building.

How many patrons would have died if the restaurant’s patio had ALREADY been open when this car smashed into it?

Nearby, only two months ago, a driver crashed her car into a 60-foot concrete streetlight pole on the sidewalk only 90 feet from the 1509 N. ECR building. The force of the contact, caused the pole to crash down onto three ECR traffic lanes, narrowly missing cars passing by.

This is NOT a good location for a restaurant/nightclub on a blind, downhill curve where drivers tend to speed and lose control of their cars, sober OR drunk.

Bill.....your initial comments clearly describe and refer to the Rooftop as a RESTAURANT. Now, it has morphed into a "BAR". The sound test has gone from being invalid to NEVER HAVE HAPPENED and I have now become a TOOL. You, my friend are delusional.

The rooftop portion of the restaurant promises a full bar and if it follows form, more PROFIT would be made from a bar than from food, but since the rooftop "restaurant" will ideally never locate there, it is a very moot point. I was being kind---I USUALLY call it a "noisy rooftop nightclub," which most neighbors here believe it would become. Also, it is next door to a Vet Hospital and the noise will drive the dogs crazy and make them bark which is almost as bad as the annoying noise from the AMPLIFIED music from the rooftop. I'd love a rooftop restaurant nearby, but my hundreds of neighbors and I do NOT want it within hearing distance. This is just the wrong place for it...Over by Del Taco is a good place with no residences nearby.

And this makes you just want to make KISS eat at Del Taco somehow?

Ha ha ha...Shripathi, what you said above is pretty funny. You have a great sense of humor.
