Rain Clears, Leaving Gusts, Big Swell

The National Weather Service also predicts 1 to 3 inches of snow in the mountains.

The rain has moved out, leaving Orange County with skies sunny for the remainder of the week, but expect strong, gusty winds and big swells for the next few days, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow showers will continue in the mountains into Tuesday evening with one to three inches of accumulation.

Expect hazardous seas from a large westward swell in the outer coastal waters, bringing steep waves to the shore Tuesday morning.

Throughout the rest of the week, expect strong winds -- in gusts up to 65 mph -- to be rushing through the canyons throughout the county in an offshore flow. Winds near the coast are expected to be calm an steady, but strong and gusty inland toward Rancho Santa Margarita and Lake Forest.

Temperatures at the coast will be in the low 70s, while cities such as Mission Viejo could see temperatures in the low 80s.
