Casino to Give Away $20K Wedding Package

The San Clemente Casino event venue is offering free use of the facility and discounts on catering and planning to a deserving couple to cap off the historic building's 75th anniversary year.

To cap off the historic Casino San Clemente's 75th anniversary year, the owners are holding a contest to give away a $20,000 wedding package to a deserving couple.

Each entrant must submit a one-page essay about why she'd be the perfect bride to take advantage of the giveaway, whether its an inspiring biography or love story, or if the couple has a deep connection with San Clemente and/or the Casino's history.

“We are looking for a bride-to-be who appreciates our long history, and perhaps has a special 'her-story' of her own to tell,” said Casino owner, Linda Sadeghi in a press release.

Kelly Roemer, the Casino general manager, said the management wants to collect as many diverse stories as possible from which to choose a winner for the Diamond Jubilee contest.

"Ideally, [the winner] will be someone who has a true tie to the Casino, but we wanted to keep it broad," she said. "We want to tie in the Casino's history with a really unique couple's history."
