I really want to go to this but if you opposed the LAB project, Playa Del Norte you are not welcome at the Casino.

If you really want to go, then go. If you go with no other agenda than to have a good time, you will have a blast. The past cannot be changed, but your attitude about the future is all up to you. Go to enjoy yourself and I'm sure you'll be welcome.

For the record, this is a highly acclaimed community event sponsored solely by The San Clemente Chamber of Commerce and I believe they welcome everyone and it is open to the public.
Lindsey Hanson November 03, 2012 at 04:01 AM
I'll rephrase that, "you are not made to feel welcome".
Jim Evert November 03, 2012 at 04:18 AM
Lindsey - wrong again - Talk to Larry Culbertson and many other Historical Society members who although they were against "Playa' , have embraced the Casino. An outstanding job of renovation and community spirit they have added to NB. BRAVO!!!

Jim you're off topic. I love what the Sadeghi's have done to the Casino. I applaud their efforts. I never said otherwise. I just don't feel comfortable around them or the PDN crew. Heck the last time I saw Jeanne O'Grady (about two weeks ago) I was roller skating on PCH and she screamed out her car window, "you're pathetic". Those folks are mean spirited big time. I'm not sure how you would know how I feel. I'll rephrase it again. " Myself and others feel unwelcome". Thanks for the improvements on the Casino Linda. I wish half the community didn't feel ostracized from city events held at your establishment.
Jim Evert November 05, 2012 at 04:44 PM
Lindsey - Sorry you feel that way - but many of those opposed to PDN regularly go to events there and I don't believe feel as you. Most of us on both sides (except for the hard core ) have been able to put this behind us. It's time to come together (no more PDN talk) and work with the new NB group. Glad to see you thank Linda for their great efforts at the Casino. Let's all stick to the positive.

To echo what Jim said, I saw Chris Hamm at the event and enjoyed a four-way conversation with Mike Mortenson, Tim and Heather Brown. (I had seen Heather waving signs with you earlier that day.) I didn't get the impression that anyone felt unwelcome at the Taste of San Clemente.
Lindsey Hanson November 05, 2012 at 08:59 PM
Bill I'm so glad you had such a nice time talking to Chris Hamm and others. But that really has nothing to do with what I said. I'm glad some people feel welcome. I myself and others do not.
