Bravery is inspiring...

Being a journalist allows me to meet lots of different kinds of people. Last week I met three extremely brave marines who inspired me to make a difference.

Being a journalist allows me to meet lots of different kinds of people. I've gotten close to Burmese RefugeesGhost HuntersSea Lion Trainers,  and anybody I get a lead to. (On a side note... if you know of somebody who deserves to be recognized be sure to contact me with their name and why you think they would make a great story!) They are all amazing and wonderful people, but last week I met three extremely brave marines who inspired me to make a difference.

Nineteen-year-old Camp Pendleton Marine Pfc. Dustin Buckner answered a call for help from his hometown of Cashion, OK after a devastating tornado ripped through the small town on May 27. He was allowed a few days leave and two of his friends happily joined him to help him put his town back together.

Please watch the  from my interview with the three men.

They submitted about 60 pictures from their journey for use in the video. Originally the interview was about 35 minutes... it was difficult to clip it down to 4 because the men were so well spoken and honest about their experience.

Please take a moment to comment on the  and thank them for their guts and hard work. I am in awe of them. Please especially thank members of the armed forces, volunteers, veterans, police men and women, or anybody who keeps you safe this weekend while you're celebrating the 4th of July.
