San Clemente Police Services Chief Lt. John Coppock and deputies recognized the first class of Citizens' Academy graduates Monday with a dinner at the Casa Romantica.
The academy was a course set up over several weeks to help teach interested citizens about the policies and procedures of the Orange County Sheriff's Department. The program was set up with an eye toward improving community relations and educating the public.
