App Developer Iconosys Aims to Expand on Los Molinos

Iconosys, a forward-thinking app developer and mobile marketer, moved into their new office in San Clemente last month, embracing the ocean breeze and their fresh creative space.

Award-winning mobile app developer Iconosys has moved to a San Clemente residential home-turned-tech-loft, a beached-themed brainstorming office in the Los Molinos business district.

And with the signing of a big licensing deal, the company is looking to hire dozens of staffers.

Iconosys CEO Wayne Irving and his nine staff members will also enjoy better bandwidth and faster internet service at the new site, critical for the company’s growing needs, and the new site will help cut costs as well, Irving said.

“We needed a creative environment because it’s so critical for what we do here,” Irving said. “Our last office had air conditioning problems but now we can just prop the door open and let the ocean breeze in.”

Earlier this month, Irving was named finalist in “The Mobile Visionary” category at the 2013 The Wireless Association CTIA B!G Idea Awards. His other awards and nominations include the 2000 Ernest & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Honor, Entpreneur Magazine’s E-List in 2000, OC Metro’s Hot 25 in 2011, Orange County’s Kindest Business Owner in 2012, and many others.

Irving is also the founder of Text Kills, an outreach organization that teaches young adults and the community on the dangers of distracted driving. As a father of four, Irving saw an opportunity in the app market to improve public health and safe driving.

“These awards really humble me when I look back on what we’ve accomplished here,” said Irving pointing at the Text Kills flyers. “When my daughter asked me to sign her driver’s permit it just hit me. I needed something protect her –to protect everyone.”

With more than 400 clients and 4,000 apps, Iconosys aims to expand into the popular casual gaming market on Android and iPhone platforms. The company recently announced it has licensed its technologies and brands to Monster Offers, hoping to gain an advantage in the $25 billion dollar market.

“As you can see here we’re looking to grow and keep growing” Irving said, pointing to the lumber in the back, “we’re also looking to hire thirty more staff members.”

Blue prints for the new extensions have not been finalized, but developments are on their way.
