Jack Lashbrook has been a San Clemente resident since the city was in its adolescence in the 1940s.
He's seen massive growth and change over his years, which span nearly the entire history of the town -- San Clemente has been around longer with him in it that without.
That's why the San Clemente Historical Society nominated Lashbrook to fill the honorary position of San Clemente Patriarch. The San Clemente City Council Tuesday recognized him as such and presented him a proclamation.
