Those of us 35 and above probably remember our first fish taco. A transplant from Baja California, it didn’t really hit our taste buds until the early ’90s.

Now that they’ve been around for a while, they’ve taken on a life of their own. They’re practically a restaurant category unto themselves. And variety? That’s easy to find.

With so many Mexican restaurants in San Clemente, there’s no shortage of fish tacos. The nice thing is, so few of our restaurants are chains, though there are a couple corporate taco representatives in town. We’re talking the real deal.
