Aloha Doc: Prescriptions to a surf lifestyle

Learn to live

the “Aloha” life at the upcoming Casa Up Close with 93 year old legendary

surfer and physician, Dorian “Doc” Paskowitz.

“Aloha Doc: Prescriptions for a

surf lifestyle”
will be held on Thursday,

April 10, 2014
, 7:00 p.m. at Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens.

General Admission is $15.

Dorian “Doc”

Paskowitz is an American surfer and physician who gave up practicing medicine to

become a professional surfer. Traveling the globe with his wife and nine

children in a 24-foot camper, the Paskowitz family spent over two decades

surfing and living Doc’s personal philosophy about education, money and a

healthy lifestyle.

The program

will give attendees a glimpse into the life of the Paskowitz family, with a

“talk story” session with Doc, showing of the short film “The Ancient Mariner”

by youngest son, Joshua Paskowitz, music by Duncan Knight, and a panel

discussion with family members.  In

addition to the program, visitors will have the opportunity to view original

surf art by Josh Paskowitz and the San Clemente premiere of the The Lightning Bolt Limited Edition

Collectors Series
surf board exhibit.
