San Clemente residents are invited to enjoy a memorable, musical ceremony honoring veterans and celebrating the Marine Corps Birthday at Park Semper Fi (at the Marine Monument) in the Pier Bowl, Saturday, November 10th, at 12 noon.

Honored will be all veterans and our city’s adopted Marine Corps 2/4, 5th Marines. Guest Speaker is Lt. Col. Robert S. Weiler, Commanding Officer, 2/4, 5th Marines.


Music is provided by Pete Jacobs and his Wartime Radio Revue. (See videos at http://www.wartimeradio.com.

The band will focus on the music of WWII featuring songs from Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington and others.


After the ceremony, join retired and active duty Marines for the United States Marine Corps 237th Birthday Cake Cutting Ceremony, 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., at the Dorothy Visser Senior Center. 117 Avenida Victoria, San Clemente.
