San Clemente Raises Almost $40K to Fight Cancer

Thalassa Stadium at San Clemente High School hosted more than 356 participants in the annual Relay for Life.

The San Clemente Relay for Life event Saturday brought out 36 teams comprising more than 350 people to fight cancer and honor survivors.

As of Saturday, San Clemente participants had raised more than $37,000 for the American Cancer Society event.

Teams camped out on the field at Thalassa Stadium at San Clemente high school, taking turns walking the track for 24 hours. Bands played and organizers set up bounce houses for kids, among other activities.
