Dogs Have Their Day at Ole Hanson Pool

Dozens of San Clemente dogs got a once-in-their-lifetime chance to swim in the Ole Hanson Beach Club Pool Saturday.
Retrievers ruled the day, Labradors and Goldens, but an English Springer Spaniel and one Weimaraner gave them a run for their money. Meanwhile, a miniature Poodle-Terrier mix and two Basset Hounds wanted to no part of the wet stuff.
The Ole Hanson Beach Club Pool will soon be drained so that the city can remodel the beach club, presenting dogs a chance to splash and play like, well, kids in a public pool.
