Quick! Wanna get married on Valentine’s Day? Get in line.

The Orange County Clerk-Recorder’s offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., waiting for you to tie the knot. Of course, those who made appointments will get priority. But walk-ins are welcome on an as-available basis.

Patch says, why not take a chance?

According to the Clerk-Recorder’s office, the department issued 224 marriages Feb. 14, 2013 – 170 of them getting hitched right there in the government offices.

Nothing says romance like a bureaucratic office.

“Valentine’s Day has consistently been one of the busiest days for civil marriages at the Clerk-Recorder,” says a press release from the office.

Besides the main office in Santa Ana, there are branch offices in Laguna Hills and Fullerton.

It gets better. If you choose to go to the Old County Courthouse between 9:30-10:30 a.m., you might have a Harlem Globetrotter hand you a red rose.

Excuse us while we swoon….  And congrats!
