A car ran into the historic El Adoberestaurant Sunday evening, causing minor damage, theOrange County Register reported.

Deputies responded to the call just before 7 p.m., according to the Orange County Sheriff’s blotter, which indicates a 61-year-old has been arrested in connection with the non-injury accident.

Register pictures indicate the car, reportedly a Mercedes Benz, crashed into the outdoor dining area along Camino Capistrano.

The Mexican steakhouse is designated as a California State Historical Landmark, a designation also belonging to Mission San Juan Capistrano. The El Adobe buildings— an adobe and a court and jail—were constructed in the late 18th century, long before becoming a restaurant in 1948.
