LETTER TO THE EDITOR: An Unwelcome Robo-call

Reader did not like to receive a call from former Mayor Wyatt Hart.

By Rhen Kohan

I am writing as a citizen who attended the debate last week and happen to have decided support Kim and Roy based upon their demeanor and answers.

I did not appreciate Wyatt’s phone call Sunday which was constructed on a very low level but transparent as to the old-boy politics that continue to try to dominate policies in this city.

The campaign by Kim McCarthy and Roy Byrnes submitted to you a statement last night rebutting Former Mayor Wyatt Hart’s robocall however you chose not to run it.

This type of news is time sensitive and not to see it in our mail boxes this AM is unacceptable.

Not ONE paper has printed this since you all received it last night which tells me now that as a citizen here there is NO NEWS PIECE reporting both sides of a matter.  This is quite a disappointment in both of you, the Dispatch and Patch.

EDITOR'S NOTE: All candidates have been invited to post blogs at Patch.

I appreciated Wyatt's call very much. In fact it is the only "robo call" I have listened to at all. I even hung up on Pete Wilson.
