Poll: Who Has San Clemente's Best Burger?

Vote for your favorite place in our Best of San Clemente poll.

Mouthwatering. Succulent. Delicious. It's Game On in determining the best hamburger in town. Patch readers have had a week to consider the best burger in their little patch of America, and it's time to vote.

Texture. Aroma. Taste. Everything is in play when it comes to choosing how you want to spend your $2, or maybe you're willing to spend $9. Does cost matter?

The ... best ... burger. Regardless.

And if there's a burger joint that's not on the list, go ahead and write in your candidate in the comments. We know a good thing when we see it, and we can add it to the ballot—or count the write-in votes. Patch loves an underdog.

So take a few seconds—literally, a few seconds—and punch the ticket for some local eatery to be crowned burger champion of San Clemente.

Voting continues through Friday, 6 p.m. At that time, we'll know who stacks up, and whose condiments are lacking.

It's burger time.

Bud's at Knuckleheads. Best in town for sure

I added Bud's to the poll. Glaring oversight on my part!

Well, I selected The Riders Club, but only because St Roy Chefs Pub wasn't listed. They only have one burger, but WOW!

Surferosa on S. El Camino Real is what became of the former Love's Restaurant. Their burger should be weighed on a truck scale it is so big and their fries are to die for.

Bud's has the best burger by far!

Biggie's is on the list twice (as Biggie's Burgers and more and Biggie's. You need to combine these votes. They've got the best burgers!
Adam Townsend February 22, 2012 at 03:44 PM
Thanks for pointing this out. "Biggie's" had two votes and they will be added. The other write-in restaurants in the comments will be taken into account in the final tabulation.

Sorry ya'll, But I have to make a full disclosure statement here. The Riders Club has clearly the best burger not only in San Clemente but in California.I know that is a very bold statement but if you have not been there just as "Alex" what she recommends on your burger. From Green Chilies to having your burger build inside of an Ortega Chilie.. It is a must try then tell me what your vote is.. Doug Pemberton Realtor

I like two places in town. If I am going to spend $10+ dollars then the Fisherman has a good burger. If I am looking for the best burger and the best price, then Buds is the true secret in town. Try the sliders and tell me they are not really the best burgers in town. Add the Tater Tots and you are in heaven with a beer, sliders and tots. Oh yeah. I have eaten at the Riders Club twice and I can't get over the price and lack of fries. It is a good burger but not the best for the price. The real secret in town is the burgers at Buds (in Knuckleheads).

riders is a great gourmet burger. if u got 20 buks to spend on ONE. and st Roys is epic gourmet too, esp with a 17 dollar glass of wine in there... But if u want that classic all American backyard burger, then Buds is by far the best!! it's fresh, big, and delish Also, the tater tots, onion rings or fries are also to die for. not only will u leave mega happy on how amazing it was, but u'll have enough $ left in your wallet to come back again tmrw! and the guy makes his own spicy ketchup, from scratch!

What about a good take out burger, I'm thrilled that Burger Junkies opened up here. Everyone I know loves them.
