With 90 percent of homebuyers going online to shop for real estate these days, selling a home has become an Internet photo contest.
Without realizing it, web surfers find themselves rapidly clicking through hundreds of pictures a minute–stopping only when a really superior photo catches their eye. Real estate websites know this, of course, and are doing everything they can to encourage Realtors to upload better photos of homes for sale.
Not all agents are getting the message, however.
The average real estate photo is, well, pretty average.
Poor lighting, cloudy weather, unfortunate time of day, bad composition and wrong equipment all help dull down what could be decent real estate pictures.
At a time when the average camera is capable of producing rather excellent results with a minimum of skill, some amateurs are still finding ways to capture truly ugly–even hilariously ugly–moments in time.
