Mrs. Cummings nominated Clay because, "he is an outstanding PAL student who always volunteers his time.

He is especially good at making movies for PAL and enjoys speaking on the Breaker News.

"He has shown up to every PAL event that is in the evening or on a Saturday like the Character Counts Jamboree in Sept. and our PTSA Parent Education Night on Bullying where he made a DVD all about PAL."

Key to Awesomeness:  "PAL has been really fun for me this year because we are focusing on anti-bullying," Heinz said. "Working to stop bullying at school is something kids can have more success at than adults I think. Mrs. Cummings helps us to think about things beyond just ourselves or our school.

"She makes us feel that our work can make changes that make out school better and better.

"My favorite PAL activity is when I get to orient a new student around the school and show him where everything is and introduce him to new friends. BAMS is a great school and it's fun to be the first person a new student meets and try to make them feel glad to be here."
