That Wasn't the Halloween Spirit: Pumpkins Thrown at Cars

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a stubborn drunk, a suspicious blanket-wrapped man, and an abusive girlfriend.

At 1:19 a.m. Sunday Oct. 29, a caller phoned the sheriff’s office to report a disturbance in the 200 block of Avenida Serra. The informant claimed people were throwing pumpkins at vehicles. The caller also stated that a victim of the pumpkin-induced terror was outside yelling at the rowdy vandals.

Also:

At 6:22 a.m. Sunday Oct. 29, someone reported a drunk man in the 4100 block of Calle Bienvenido. A heavily intoxicated man was wandering around the informant’s yard. When the caller asked the man to leave, he refused.

At 9:55 a.m. Sunday Oct. 29, a caller told deputies about a suspicious person in the 600 block of Camino de Los Mares. A man wrapped in a blanket was approaching cars and asking them to roll their windows down.

At 2:20 p.m. Sunday Oct. 29, deputies received a report about a disturbance near the cross streets of North El Camino Real and Canada. The informant saw a 20-year-old woman beating and screaming at her boyfriend behind a green electrical box. No arrest was made.
