Biker Dead After Hitting Aliso Viejo Garage at Fast Speed

Police say Xabier Desasia of Aliso Viejo died after crashing into a garage on a Yamaha motorcycle.

An Aliso Viejo man died Saturday night after crashing a motorcycle into a garage at a high rate of speed, Lt. Roland Chacon of the Orange County Sheriff's Department said.

Xabier Desasia, 20, was driving a Yamaha eastbound at a "high rate of speed," Chacon said, when he crashed into a garage at 33 Tuolumne Way.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by emergency workers at 11:52 p.m., Chacon said.

Desasia failed to negotiate a sharp turn, Chacon said.

"X" will be sadly missed at his new place of work, So Cal Ship Services. Today, those that have worked closely with him all met and had a moment of reflective silence. He was eager to learn his new trade and he was joy to teach. Our prayers go to his family.
