Capo Beach Church Burglarized

Police are on the lookout for whomever broke into one of the church's auxiliary buildings.

Police are on the lookout for a suspect or suspects who burglarized an auxiliary building at Capo Beach Calvary Church sometime during Sunday night or Monday morning.

Police responded to a call from the church reporting the burglary at 7:17 a.m. Monday.

Capo Beach Pastor Craig Whittaker said he couldn't release what was burglarized because of the ongoing investigation by the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

"There's not a lot I can give you," he said in a phone interview Tuesday. "Hopefully, we can catch them dropping the ball sometime soon."

Better break out the extra collection plates - the big ones.

Regardless of religious beliefs, churches help people. It's unfortunate that funds will now have to be diverted to cover this loss, especially during the holiday season.
