Car Burglar Reportedly Escapes on Foot

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a man screams for medical attention, a group of teens disrupts the DMV, and a man is arrested for indecent exposure.

At 6:08 a.m. Sunday Sept. 22, someone reported a burglary in progress in the 200 block of Calle Serena. The caller claimed a man had just been rummaging inside her vehicle, however ran away before she could confront him.

At 5:49 p.m. Sunday Sept. 22, a caller told deputies about a disturbance in the 900 block of El Camino Real. A man standing outside a local Ralph’s was screaming, asking for medical help. Onlookers noted that the man appeared to be fine and was possibly on drugs or drunk.

At 6:35 p.m. Sunday Sept 22, an informant reported a disturbance near the cross streets of Via Cascadita and Via Montego. A group of teens was skateboarding in the DMV parking lot and yelling at bystanders.

At 9:37 a.m. Monday Sept. 23, deputies arrested a 26-year-old man under the suspicion of indecent exposure in the 1700 block of Avenida Estacion. The man has since been released from jail.

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.
