CRIME: Gunpoint Mugging, Mohawked Hitchhiker

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log throughout the past few days.

At 3:28 p.m. Sunday, a 12-year-old girl either fell or was pushed out of a vehicle by her father in the middle of the intersection of Camino Vera Cruz and Via Pacifica. The car was reported to look like a silver Toyota. Paramedics also called to assist in the young girl’s arm injury. 

At 3:20 p.m. on Sunday, a caller reported an abandoned stroller in a bush in between McDonalds and the high school on the south side of Avenida Pico. Caller is concerned that there may still be a baby inside the stroller. 

At 7:25 a.m. on Sunday, an elderly female was found dead on Marbella.

At 8:26 p.m. on Saturday, a burglary took place at West Cañada and Avenida del Poniete. The suspect who was seen breaking into a vehicle on West Cañada toward the freeway, is unable to locate. 

At 7:22 p.m. on Saturday, a an adult was reported missing at the 600 block on Avenida Victoria. The subject was then located in the Tower 3 bathrooms. He was reported to be schizophrenic and has stated in the past that he would jump in the ocean and swim as far as he could.

At 1:09 p.m. on Saturday, a caller reported a group of eight to nine juveniles killing an animal and filming it. The boys had shovels in hand and were yelling to cut off the animals head. This took place on Camino del Rio. 

At 10:55 a.m. on Saturday, an mother reported her 36-year-old daughter storming into the informant’s residence at the 100 block on Paseo de Cristobal, picked up her two children and left. The mother also reported her daughter to be bipolar and manic when off of her medication. 

At 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, a disturbance occurred at the 100 block on Escalones where a father went into his son’s residence and pulled an 8-inch knife from the kitchen and threatened him with it. The subject is unable to locate at this time. 

At 12:18 a.m. on Friday, the caller reported that he went to visit his mother’s apartment at 3300 block on Paseo Halcon but accidentally went to the wrong apartment. When he knocked on the door, a man, roughly in his 50s, opened the door carrying a handgun and wearing nothing but his boxer shorts. 

At 8:14 a.m. on Friday, a caller reported a disturbance of a possibly bipolar woman who was yelling outside that she would slit the caller’s throat. This took place at Avenida Madrid and Avenida Monterey. The woman’s name is Holly Mitchell, 37, with blond hair and wearing white shorts and a multicolored hooded sweatshirt. She drives a blue Volkswagen SUV.

At 3:17 p.m. on Friday, a caller reported a missing juvenile from the 700 block on Avenida Pico.

At 1:43 p.m. on Thursday, a caller reported a robbery in progress at the 500 block of Camino de Estrella. The caller witnessed the subject getting on the freeway four minutes prior to making the call. The caller also mentioned that the subject was carrying a silver revolver. 

At 1:07 a.m. on Thursday, a caller reported a burglary in progress at Calle Lago. Two were detained at gunpoint in front of an ice cream parlor. The caller reported the subjects as two men in black hooded sweatshirts and black face masks taking items out of a grey vehicle and loading them into a car parked on Calle Lago. 

At 12:46 p.m. on Thursday, a caller reported a group of people who attempted to light a Christmas tree on fire on the beach near north El Camino Real. 

At 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, a woman reported that her son borrowed her car a week ago. He has not come back and the mother wants to report her car stolen. The mother added that she doesn’t care whether she gets her son back because he does drugs. She just wants her car. 

At 2:09 p.m. on Wednesday, a caller reported two men dressed in suits and ties illegally peddling squirt guns and other items on the 1000 block of El Camino Real. 

At 3:46 p.m. on Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious man in his thirties. The subject had blond hair spiked in a orange mohawk and was wearing a zebra top. The man was yelling at passersby saying that his wife was pregnant and that he needed a ride. The caller reported that the man even hit his window.
