CRIME REPORTS: Food-Throwing New Year

Here are various reports pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

At 2:58 p.m. Wednesday at 500 block Avenida Vaquero, a caller reported an unknown number of  people who were throwing water balloons and rocks onto the golfers standing at the fifth hole of the golf course. No further details were reported.

At 4:03 p.m. Wednesday at 300 block Avenida Cabrillo, a caller reported  a man in a white Chrysler minivan taking pictures of a female neighbor. When the caller went over to see what he was doing, the man covered himself up in the back of the minivan.

At 7:22 p.m. Wednesday at 700 block on Calle Casita, a caller reported a prior resident who keeps returning to the property and trashing the house and stealing objects from the yard. No further details were reported.

At 7:27 p.m. Wednesday at Domador and Estancia cross streets, a caller reported 3 boys on skateboards dumping trash cans and trees onto the street. 

At 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at 1600 block Calle Las Bolas, a caller reported a man in his late teens walking door to door stating that he has to do 25 speeches to meet a challenge. No further details were reported.

At 12:19 a.m. Thursday at 100 block Avenida Barcelona, a caller reported three men trying to climb onto the roof of the caller’s location. They were last seen walking towards T-street, one of the men had a white blanket wrapped around him.

At 1:03 p.m. Thursday at Avenida Del Mar and Avenida Santa Barbara, a caller reported a man with brown hair wearing a gray shirt riding a red bicycle while drinking a beer and yelling at people. He was last seen heading towards the pier.

At 5:42 p.m. Friday at 400 block Plaza Estival, a caller found a suicide note attached to a can of paint thinner in the bushes while walking her dog at Mira Costa Park. There was no contact information on the note.

At 11:22 a.m. Saturday at 3900 block on El Camino Real, a caller reported a drunk 60 year-old man wearing a black jacket, red shirt and blue jeans inside Carls Jr. throwing food and being loud. The man was taken into custody at the Men’s Intake Release Center in Santa Ana.

At 2:32 p.m. on Saturday at 200 block Avenida La Pata, a caller reported 20 people on scooters and bikes inside the skate park. No further details were reported.

At 5:04 p.m. Saturday at 600 block Calle Campana, a caller reported three people from the San Juan gang in a physical fight with people from the San Clemente gang. No further details were reported.

At 6:13 p.m. Saturday at 600 block on Avenida Victoria, a caller reported hearing 2 gun shots coming from the T-street bridge. No further details were reported.

At 8:07 p.m. Saturday at 3500 block on Calle Verano, a caller reported a suspicious substance on his porch last week and tonight, an unknown person threw an egg with a fully formed chick inside at his front door. No further details were reported.

At 10:59 p.m. on Saturday at Cte Vizcaya, a caller reported her 16-year-old son at a party where the parents at the residence were encouraging underaged drinking. Marijuana brownies were also given out, the caller said.

At 2:48 a.m. Sunday at 500 block on El Camino Real, a drunk man dialed 911 because he could not get a Taxi. The caller said if the police do not provide him a ride to his house, he will intentionally drive himself home while intoxicated.

At 5:04 a.m. Sunday at 600 block on Camino De Los Mares, a caller reported getting jumped near the pier. The caller broke his arm and was taken to San Clemente Hospital.

At 4:00 p.m. Sunday at 200 block on Avenida Del Mar, a caller reported a man and woman in their late 50’s throwing flour at people in front of the caller’s store. No further details were reported.

At 11:42 p.m. Sunday at Camino Vera Cruz and Avenida Pico, a caller reported hearing a screaming woman coming from the bushes. The woman was screaming about not wanting to lose her virginity like this. No further details were reported.
