CRIME BLOTTER: Gunshots, Indecent Exposure and Petty Theft

Selected reports from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log.

6:59 p.m. Dec. 22, at the Rite Aid on North El Camino Real and El Portal. An employee reported an 18 year-old woman stole a bottle of liquor and ran towards Auto Zone. The woman’s male friend was detained and arrested.

7:57 p.m. Dec. 22, 200 block Canada. Caller reported loud explosions and flashes up and down the street. The caller did not think it was Camp Pendleton. 

5:00 a.m. Dec. 23, Avenida Victoria and El Camino Real. Caller reported a man taunting him from across the street. The caller said if deputies did not show up soon, he would hit the taunter with a metal bar. The caller refused to answer questions and stated he would kill the taunter if he comes after him. No further details were reported.

10:28 a.m. Dec. 23, 1500 block of Avenida De La Estrella. Caller reported a man between 40 and 50 years old publicly urinating. The man saw the caller watching and asked the caller if he wanted to hold it for him. 

3:24 p.m. Dec. 23, 2400 block of Ola Vista. A female caller said a male acquaintance was blackmailing her for oral sex by threatening to send her family explicit emails she sent him. Caller said her family was deeply religious and the disclosures would devastate her life.

6:38 p.m. Dec. 23, Calle Del Cerro and Avenida Pico. Caller reported suspects in a gray VW Golf were lighting firecrackers and dropping them on the street. No further details were reported.

12:26 p.m. Saturday, 500 block of Avenida Vaquero. Caller reported two men in a fistfight on the 10th tee at Shorecliffs Golf Course. The man who allegedly started the fight was wearing a white sweater vest over a red shirt and drove away in a golf cart while the other man was on the ground. Orange County Fire Authority was called.

1:39 p.m. Saturday, 800 block of Calle Puente. Caller reported a person shooting off paper rockets, one of which landed in the caller’s job site.

4:11 p.m. Sunday, 100 block of La Esperanza. Caller reported kids in a white a van hitting golf balls at the caller. No further details.

9:50 p.m. Sunday, 200 block of El Portal. Caller reported 12 shots fired from west side of the park. No further details.

3:03 a.m. Monday, 200 block of Trafalgar lane. Caller reported a woman thrown from a black truck into the canyon. The caller believed the woman’s boyfriend was hitting her and threw her from the truck. The woman was still screaming when the black truck drove by the caller’s residence. No further details.

4:08 p.m. Monday, 200 block of Avenida Calafia. State park officials advised the Orange County Fire Authority about a brush fire along the railroad tracks. Two men were seen running from the fire. The cause of the fire was not determined.

2:03 a.m. Tuesday, 500 block of Avenida Pico. Caller reported his blue 1978 Chevy four-door missing from the Denny’s parking lot. The caller had been drinking and no further details were reported.
