CRIME: Gun-Toting Babysitter, Kid Burglars

The following are various items pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past several days.

At 12:07 a.m. Tuesday, deputies arrested a 31-year-old man after a traffic stop at the 200 block of Avenida Monterey.

At 9:50 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a grand theft of a new, specialized Enduro mountain bike from the back of his truck parked in his driveway on the 300 block of Avenida Valencia.

At 9:39 p.m. Monday, deputies pulled over a vehicle in the Valero gas station on North Avenida de la Estrella. They searched the vehicle and found a firearm, and they then arrested the 21-year-old driver who listed her profession in jail records as a babysitter. Bond was set at $30,000.

At 3:59 p.m. Monday, a caller reported credit card fraud from the 1800 block of Vista Marea.

At 10:29 a.m. Monday, a caller from the 300 block of Encino Lane reported a stolen car.

At 10:21 p.m. Sunday, deputies arrested a 62-year-old man near the corner of Avenida Monterey and Ola Vista after a traffic stop.

At 7:20 a.m. Sunday, a woman calling from the 1400 block of El Camino Real reported that a man had tried to break into her house and was outside attempting to break into her vehicle.

At 4:48 a.m. Sunday, a caller from a home on Finca reported that two male neighbors were outside trying to get him to come out and fight. A caller from the same street at 6:33 a.m. reported that neighbors were shining laser pointers into the house, which the caller stated was an ongoing problem.

At 10:56 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported that two juvenile girls were throwing rocks and breaking the windows of the lifeguard station near the San Clemente Pier.

At 10:23 p.m. Saturday, a caller from the 400 block of Camino Bandera reported several juveniles had broken into a home there.

At 9:07 p.m. Saturday, deputies arrested a 33-year-old man at the 100 block of Mariposa after assisting in a probation check.

At 8:31 p.m. Saturday, deputies arrested an 18 year old woman after being called out to investigate a loud fight between a male and female on the 200 block of Avenida Vista Montana. The woman is being held on $50,500 bond.

At 4:38 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported vandalism in progress at the 2900 block of Via San Gorgonio. People were breaking sprinkler heads and tossing them down the hill.

At 12:30 p.m. Saturday, a caller from near the intersection of Avenida Victoria and Monterey Lane reported two people recklessly driving go-karts up and down the street.

At 3 a.m. Saturday near the corner of East Avenida Palizada and Avenida De La Estrella, deputies arrested a 20-year-old male Marine on suspicion of drunk driving.

At 1:52 a.m. Saturday, deputies arrested a 22-year-old woman near the corner of North Ola Vista and Avenida Miramar after a traffic stop.

At 11:42 p.m. Friday, a caller from the 2500 block of El Camino Real reported someone was trying to break down the door to the residence.

At 10:09 p.m. Friday, a caller from East Canada and El Camino Real reported that three people were beating another person who was lying on the ground. The assailants left on foot heading south on El Camino Real, apparently knocking four newspaper stands into lanes on El Camino Real.

At 6:28 Friday, a caller from the 800 block of Via Suerte reported that four kids -- two boys and two girls -- had broken into the business there through the back door and were dumping paint on the floor.

At 2 p.m. Friday, deputies arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of driving on a suspended license after they stopped him on the 200 block of Avenida Del Mar.
