CRIME: Intruder Breaks through Window, Date Steals Car

The following are reports selected from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

Police arrested at 32-year-old man at 8:27 a.m. Tuesday after a traffic stop on the 200 block of South El Camino Real.

Police arrested a 35-year-old man after a 10:54 p.m. traffic stop Monday near the intersection of Avenida Pico and North El Camino Real.

Police arrested a 22-year-old man at 8:29 p.m. Monday after performing a welfare check at the 100 block of Avenida Florencia. The sister of the woman who lived there reported that the woman's husband had split her lip and broken her cell phone.

At 11:43 a.m. Monday, police assisted an outside agency in dealing with a small skunk trapped in a soccer goal net near the 600 block of Camino de los Mares.

At 6:58 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a burglary from a construction site on the 300 block of Avenida Pico.

At 9:10 p.m. Sunday, a man parked his car outside a store on the 800 block of Avenida Pico, leaving his female companion in the vehicle. When he returned, he found she had stolen his car and text messaged his mother that he had tried to rape her.

At 9:10 p.m. Sunday, a man in his 60s with a muscular build was wandering around the area of North El Camino Real and Avenida Pico. He was wearing just black boxer shorts, bore bleeding lacerations to his face and appeared to be carrying a pillow case full of items.

At 2:20 a.m. Sunday, a 22-year-old woman was arrested after reporting someone had hit her parked 2013 Volkswagen Passat, parked on Calle Neblina, and did not leave a note. The dispatcher indicated to responding deputies that the woman appeared to be intoxicated and behind the wheel while she was on the phone.

At 2:30 a.m. Saturday, a caller from the 2400 block of Calle La Veta reported that a man had punched in his home's window glass and entered the house. The resident punched the man and escaped to his neighbor's home across the street to call deputies.

At 8:23 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a burglary at Surfmoor Products on the 200 block of Calle Pintoresco.
