CRIME REPORT: Prowlers, Vandalism, and Narcotics Offenders

Here are various crimes pulled from the San Clemente police log over the past few days.

At 2:26 a.m. Friday a female caller reported a prowler on the 3100 block of Calle Quieto. The woman noticed her dogs were barking so she looked out a window and saw a man walking around her driveway. The woman’s daughter later saw two men jump a fence into their back yard. There was no description provided. 

At 2:56 a.m. Friday morning, police responded to a vandalism in progress on the 100 block of Avenida Dominguez. A driver was heading southbound on the I-5 freeway when an unidentified subject was sitting on top of a sound wall near the El Camino exit and threw at rock at the drivers windshield causing it to break. They were unable to provide police with a description and there was no arrest. 

At 2:07 a.m. Friday police made a report of a stolen vehicle on the 600 block of Calle Campana. The vehicle was a white 1998 Ford.

At 9:49 p.m. Thursday police responded to a drunk-in-public call in front of the Rib Trader on El Camino Real. The caller reported there was a woman in her late 40’s and was so intoxicated she could not tell the taxi cab where she lived. She was eventually released to a sober party. 

At 7:52 p.m. Thursday a caller reported a suspicious person at the cross streets of Calle Viviana and Camino Tierra Grande. The caller said there were subjects in dump trucks moving soil and suspected they were doing it illegally because it was dark. Police made no reported arrest.

At 5:58 p.m. Thursday police conducted a welfare check for elderly male on south El Camino Real near the Seven-Eleven. The man was intoxicated and was nearly hit by a car while as he crossed the street.

At 7:53 p.m. Wednesday a caller reported acts of vandalism on the 600 block of Avenida Victoria. The caller said it looked like there were damages by a pellet gun to a vehicles cab side window. Police continued to search the area and suspected this was done by three male minors. 

At 11:40 a.m. Wednesday police arrested a 21-year-old woman at the cross streets of Via Montego and Via Lado. While doing a traffic stop, police discovered narcotics and paraphernalia in the woman's car. She is in custody with a bail amount of $25,000.

At 9:29 p.m. Wednesday police arrested a 47-year-old transient man for trespassing on the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. Police said the man was sleeping on the second floor of a house's patio. He has since been released from custody. 

At 7:55 p.m. Wednesday a caller reported a drunk driver was heading southbound on the I-5 freeway. The report states the driver was in a grey Chevy Suburban and drove extremely fast over an embankment to pass a group of cars. Police made no report of an arrest.
