CRIME REPORTS: Miramar Doors Broken In

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log throughout the past few days.

At 1:02 a.m. Tuesday, deputies arrested a 24-year-old woman on the south end of El Camino Real and behind Carmelo. The woman was caught driving with a suspended license and appeared to be in possession of illegal drugs and an open container. She was taken into custody with a bail amount of $15,000. 

At 11:03 p.m. Monday, deputies detained two subjects during a pedestrian check on the south end of El Camino Real and behind Carmelo. The report stated two subjects were detained for being in violation of their parole. 

At 5:00 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a stolen vehicle in the 2500 block of El Camino Real. The informant reported that a blue 2002 PT Cruiser was stolen.

At 1:43 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to investigate an open door near the Boca De La Playa and the El Camino Real intersection. The informant reported that doors to the old Miramar Theater were broken in. 

At 8:22 a.m. Monday, deputies assisted San Clemente City Lifeguards with a mental case near the volleyball courts on the North Side of the Pier. A military man who appeared to be delusional and possibly suicidal, was seen walking in the middle of the railroad tracks and making people uneasy. Deputies detained the subject and were unable to get a coherent conversation with the subject. The man was eventually returned to the base.

At 9:17 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 100 block of Mariposa. The report stated that a man and his 50-year-old girlfriend had gotten into a heated verbal argument. The girlfriend later threw hot wax on her boyfriend and went to her bedroom. 

At 2:57 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a petty theft in the 600 block of Avenida Pico. The report stated that two men in their 20s were caught stealing objects from McDonalds on camera. The reportedly took the informant’s cell phone. 

At 1:25 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported an assault in the 200 block of Avenida Adobe. The report stated that an unknown subject assaulted the informant while he was walking his dog. The informant was unable to give deputies a description. 

At 11:18 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Calle Del Cima and Camino Crestra intersection. The informant reported their was a loud and out-of-control party in progress with subjects shooting illegal fireworks into the air. 

At 9:00 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a vandalism in progress in the 100 block of Avenida Serra. The report stated that two men and and a woman were seen kicking cars and throwing glass beer bottles. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 4:32 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 1200 block of Calle Sarmentoso. The report stated that six to eight minors were seen shooting paintball guns at each other from the roof of a school.
