CRIME REPORTS: Woman Hurts Elbow in Police Chase

The following are reports taken from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the last few days.

At 3:38 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 400 block of Cazador Lane. According to the report, a man and a woman have been repeatedly getting into heated verbal arguments and disturbing their neighbors. 

At 3:30 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 1300 block of Ola Vista. According to the report, a male transient had been loitering in a neighborhood all day and was upsetting residents. 

At 12:45 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 100 block of Calle Amistad. The informant reported receiving multiple lewd sexual comments from a man in an apartment near their location.

At 2:22 a.m. Monday, police arrested a 22-year-old man in the 100 block of Mariposa. The report stated the man had crashed a dark colored Ford Explorer into two parked vehicles and drove off. The man was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol and has since been released. 

At 12:55 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the first block of Via Sonrisa. The informant reported three male minors who were dressed in black masks were ringing door bells and banging on doors. The minors were last seen heading south on Via Onda.

At 11:45 p.m. Sunday, police arrested a 23-year-old woman near T-Street. Firefighters were needed for a woman who sustained an elbow injury as she appeared to be running from the police with a man who jumped a wall, and ran into a complex on Marquita. Police reported the woman was uncooperative once detained. She was taken into custody and bail was set for $2,500. 

At 4:02 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a burglary in the first block of Via Armilla. According to the report, the informants home was robbed of two television sets. 

At 8:32 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported an act of vandalism near the Sarmentoso and Via Solona intersection. According to the report, the batting cages at the Forester Ranch Community park had been vandalized. The cage doors were smashed in at the snack bar and a pole was been broken. 

At 5:20 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a reckless driver in the 900 block of Avenida Pico. According to the report, a subject was seen driving a sedan with Nevada license plates recklessly, in the Albertsons grocery store parking lot. 

At 3:03 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a petty theft in the 100 block of Mariposa. According to the report, a drunk man took a woman’s dog from her yard. Police reported the man was detained.
