CRIME REPORTS: Breaking-in, Death Threats and Stolen Firearms

Here are various crimes pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log.

At 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, police investigated a person down on the 500 block of El Camino Real. A man in his 50s was lying face-down next to a phone booth at the 7-Eleven on Palizada. The Orange County Fire Authority arrived after police were on scene. 

At 11:12 p.m. Monday, police arrested a 40-year-old man on the 600 block of Calle De Los Mares. He was reportedly intoxicated, and police discovered there was a warrant for his arrest. He is currently in custody with a bail amount of $15,000. 

At 9:01 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a grand theft from the 2600 block of Calle del Comercio. Two unregistered firearms were reported stolen. Police provided no further information.

At 3:37 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a drunken person in public on the 200 block of Avenida del Mar. There was a 60-year-old man yelling obscenities at people passing by. 

At 9:45 a.m. Sunday, police arrested 18-year-old Jonathan Aikin on the 300 block of Cazador Lane, accusing him of breaking into a house. He was jailed on $100,000 bail.   and watch the video above.

At 8:44 p.m. Saturday, police arrested a 50-year-old woman on the first block of Gema. The woman, authorities said, had been fighting with another woman and disconnected the phone line as she called police during their dispute. On the callback, the operators could hear hitting sounds in the background. The woman is currently in custody with a bail about of $25,000.

At 7:43 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported reckless driving at the cross streets of Vista Hermosa and Avenida Pico. The caller said there was a group of motorcycles traveling at a very high rate of speed heading toward the freeway on Vista Hermosa. 

At 7:36 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a suspicious persons in a vehicle on the 700 block of Avenida Pico. The caller said there was a group of people siting in a champagne colored vehicle near the Ole Hanson pool possibly smoking marijuana. 

At 3:53 p.m. Saturday, police arrested a 75-year-old man near Calle Galleria. Authorities said he was threatening to kill his wife. He was jailed on $50,000 bail.
