CRIME REPORTS: Curious Transients, Skate Park Disputes and Illegal Fireworks

These are various crimes pulled from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log over the past few days.

At 2:38 p.m. Thursday, a citizen assist was made on the 1000 block of El Camino Real. The informant told police he was approached by a male transient and asked if knew of a good place to find a prostitute. The informant was frightened by the transient and suspected he was hiding pepper spray in a large bag of clothes. Police made no report of an arrest.

At 11:48 a.m. Thursday morning, police assisted the Orange County Fire Authority near the cross streets of Avenida Pico and Vista Hermosa. A male was driving by the high school in a black Mercedes when he began to experience the symptoms of a heart attack. After EMS arrived, the police visited the hospital to make sure he made it ok.

At 9:10 a.m. Thursday morning, police responded to a disturbance on the 200 block of Avenida La Pata. There was a dispute between bicyclers and skateboarders. The bicyclists were attempting to chase the skateboarders out of the skate park.

At 11:19 p.m. Wednesday night, a caller reported an assault with a deadly weapon on the 200 block of Avenida Victoria. Police provided no further information. 

At 11:04 p.m. Wednesday night, a caller reported a disturbance on the 100 block of Loma Lane. The caller had complaints about the loud gospel music coming from the Episcopal church near their house.

At 7:09 p.m. Wednesday police responded to a family dispute on the 900 block of Buena Vista. There was a mother who was heavily medicated on prescription drugs. She was getting out of control and attempting to drive away. There was no report of an arrest.

At 4:18 p.m. A caller reported a reckless driver on the 200 block of Avenida La Pata. The caller said there was a driver doing donuts in a parking lot.

At 10:56 a.m. Police conducted a welfare check at the cross streets of south El Camino Real and San Luis Rey. Police said, a male was rolling around in the road of the freeway overpass with his stuff all sprawled out.

At 8:18 a.m. Wednesday morning police responded to a disturbance on the 1500 block of Buena Vista. A 14-year-old girl had locked herself in the bathroom because she was upset her parents took Facebook away. Her parents said she was spending too much time on Facebook.

At 11:09 p.m. Tuesday night police responded to a fireworks violation on the 100 block of Camino San Clemente. There were minors stetting of fireworks beneath the American flag of Shorecliffs Beach Club. There was no report of an arrest.
