CRIME REPORTS: Nude Chemical Inhaler

At 10:20 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 100 block of Calle Altea. Deputies reportedly detained a naked man who had been seen huffing chemicals near an athletic club. The subject was detained and firefighters transported the man to San Clemente Hospital. 

At 7:13 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a burglary in the 300 block of Calle Guaymas. The informant reported that her ex-husband had broken into her home earlier that day. 

At 4:18 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious person near the Avenida De La Paz and Avenida Caballeros intersection. The report stated that a man in his late 40s was screaming profanities while heading down La Paz. The informant said this has been an ongoing issue and the man is known as “the walker.” 

At 2:30 p.m. Monday, deputies and firefighters responded to a traffic accident near the I-5 freeway and the Christianitos intersection. The report stated that a traffic collision had occurred and a woman was trapped in a vehicle. 

At 3:02 a.m. Monday, deputies arrested a 21-year-old woman in the 1900 block of El Camino Real. The report stated the woman was pulled over and taken into custody for driving while intoxicated. She was cited and released for the offense. 

At 6:14 p.m. Sunday, deputies assisted firefighters in the 100 block of Cristianitos Road. The report stated that a man had overdosed on prescription medication and alcohol. Deputies and firefighters responded to conduct a welfare check. 

At 5:25 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a burglary in progress in the 100 block of Avenida De La Estrella. The report stated that guest from the Holliday Inn was seen attempting to break into a vehicle.The subject was contacted and he said the vehicle belonged to his girlfriend. 

At 10:11 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a battery near the South El Camino Real and Avenida Mendocino intersection. The informant reported that their boyfriend hit her the previous night in the alleyway behind Dad’s Liquor.

At 1:09 a.m. Sunday, deputies arrested a 43-year-old man near the South El Camino Real and Avenida Victoria intersection. Deputies arrested a transient man who had a warrant out for his arrest and had been drinking alcohol in public. He was taken into custody and has since been released. 

At 8:42 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 600 block of Avenida Victoria. The report stated that several subjects were seen in a heated physical argument at the base of the San Clemente Pier.
