CRIME REPORTS: Meth Heads Nabbed, Drunk in Planter

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Services Dispatch log throughout the past few days.

At 7:03 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a grand theft in the 200 block of Marquita. The report stated that a catalytic converters were stolen near the cross streets of Via Mecha and Calle Puente. 

At 6:53 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious person in a vehicle in the 800 block of Avenida Vista Hermosa. The report stated that a subject was seen smoking illegal drugs in a back Toyota Rav4. The man then proceeded to walk inside the Ralph’s grocery store. 

At 6:38 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to investigate a person down near the East Avenida Pico and the I-5 freeway intersection. The report stated that a drunk man had passed out in a planter by Staples. Firefighters were responding to the call.

At 10:24 a.m. Monday, deputies were called to help keep the peace in the 200 block of Avenida Victoria. The report stated that a landlord was attempting to evict a tenant but they had refused to leave. 

At 10:12 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance in the 600 block of Avenida Victoria. An employee of the Pier Market reported that a woman and two men came into the store high on meth. The subjects then proceeded to the tunnel which goes under the railroad tracks. Deputies reported detaining two of the subjects.

At 8:19 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a petty theft in the 800 block of El Camino Real. The report stated the a subject ran out of Rite Aid with two bottles of wine and got into a gold Ford Explorer. 

At 6:37 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a drunk driver near the Camino Vera Cruz and Avenida Vista Hermosa intersection. The report stated that a drunk man was seen driving a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee and was last seen heading turing into a school off Vera Cruz. 

At 10:37 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a stolen vehicle in the 200 block of Avenida Vista Montana. The report stated that the informant's Triumph motorcycle was stolen. 

At 8:45 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 600 block of Avenida Victoria. The report stated that a drunk man was yelling obscenities at passing vehicles. The man was in his 40s and had on dark clothing. 

At 11:29 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a vandalism in progress in the 2700 block of El Camino Real. The informant reportedly witnessed two male subjects breaking her vehicles mirror. The subjects were last seen heading north on El Camino.
