CRIME: Elder Abuse, Pants Down in Honda

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log throughout the past few days.

At 8:35 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a white man wearing a gray hoodie over his head who looked to be in his 30’s sleeping in a white Honda hatchback for half an hour. The vehicle was running and the subject’s pants were pulled down to his thighs.

At 7:43 p.m. Sunday, a woman called to report that she needed units to respond in the 100 Block Mariposa because she was being attacked by her roommate again.

At 11:45 a.m. Sunday, deputies arrested a 39-year-old man in the Plaza Pacifico East Avenida Pico intersection after approaching him while he was walking.

At 11:35 a.m. Sunday, an informant reported elder abuse in the 600 Block Camino De Los Mares of an 89-year-old female dementia patient that has neglect issues, dehydration and bedsores so severe that one leg may need amputation.

At 2:15 p.m. Saturday, deputies arrested a 30-year-old man in the 100 Block Calle Amistad.

At 10:57 a.m. Saturday, deputies arrested a 45-year-old man in the La Ronda Chiquita intersection after a pedestrian check. The man was cited and released.

At 9:35 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported a 25-year-old man who was drunk in public in front of customers at the 76 gas station in the 2300 Block El Camino Real.

At 8:04 a.m. Saturday, a woman called to report that her ex-boyfriend had taken her white Isuzu Rodeo from the Valero gas station near the Avenida Del Mar and Avenida Cabrillo intersection.

At 4:06 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported a burglary in progress in the 700 Block Calle Camisa.

At 2:39 a.m. Saturday, deputies arrested a 19-year-old man in the Camino De Los Mares and Camino El Molino intersection on suspicion of possessing narcotics and an opium pipe. He faces three charges of unlawful possession of controlled substance, bringing or sending controlled substance into jail/prison and possession of opium pipe and/or controlled substance paraphernalia.

At 1:46 a.m. Saturday, an informant reported a disturbance at the Calle/Ocean Hills Community in the 700 Block Calle Camisa. The man observed five subjects wearing dark hoodies whispering and talking about beating up the neighbor who lives there.

At 12:32 a.m. Saturday, deputies arrested a 53-year-old woman in the 100 Block Marquita after a relative of the woman called police and told them she heard screaming and yelling in the background of a phone conversation. The woman was cited and released.

At 9:19 p.m. Friday, deputies arrested a 26-year-old man near the West Avenida Palizada and Ola Vista intersection. The report stated the man was pulled over and taken into custody after a traffic stop. He was cited and released for the offense.
